Soils over basaltic and granitic materials cever an important area. Range derived from such soils, show moderately low productivity. Phosphatic fertilization and surface seeding of legumes, is an alternative to increase productivity. Different experiments consitently show improvements from So to more than 100 % in forage yield, quality, as well as an interesting successional trends of the vegetation on both soil types. |
